Social Services

Adhering to the educational philosophy of cultivating talents and serving the society, our school provides various services including training, supervision, consultation and assistance to the society. Our teachers serve the society by supervising or advising government agencies, judicial organs, enterprises and public institutions and by working for the programs that are launched by our school and practical departments to cultivate high-end legal talents.

At present, we have 1 member of the Standing Committee of the provincial CPPCC, 12 part-time lawyers, 7 arbitrators, 8 jurors, 1 supervisor of the Jinan People’s Procuratorate, 17 expert advisers to the government or judicial departments, and 1 mediator of Shenzhen Securities and Futures Dispute Resolution Center.

Prof. Song Yan was a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th and 11th CPPCC of Shandong Province and a legislative adviser to the Shandong Provincial People’s Congress and Jinan Municipal People’s Congress. She actively engaged in political activities and discussions and offered professional suggestions.

Prof. Zhao Xinhui, as a member of the first Committee for the Selection of Judges and Prosecutors of Shandong Province, participated in the formulation of the Committee’s Constitution and the selection of judges and prosecutors from courts and procuratorates in the province; as a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the People’s Procuratorate of Shandong Province and a member of that of Jinan City, he was invited by the provincial and municipal procuratorates to discuss many major cases and to select topics, approve projects and choose prize winners for their innovation practice; as a supervisor of Jinan People’s Procuratorate, he supervises more than 30 cases every year, and in 2015 was named the Excellent People’s Supervisor in Shandong.

Prof. Yan Baolong serves for Jinan Municipal People's Government as a member of its Legal Advisory Committee and a member of its Administrative Review Committee. He participated in the formulation and rectification of local laws and was awarded the first “Ten Best Arbitrators in Jinan”.

In 2016, Prof. Han Qinghuai was recognized and replied by Chen Xiaohua, vice minister of agriculture, for his research report titled “ Strengthening Dialogue and Cooperation to Bridge the New Historical ‘Gap’ -- Some Thoughts on Improving the Separation of Three Powers”.

Besides, we sent four teachers to judicial organs for one-year practice of law. Prof. Han Qinghuai, Prof. Xu Fengzhen, Prof. Shi Ruili, and associate Prof. Li Zhen took temporary posts at Intermediate People’s Court of Jinan, Shizhong District People’s Court of Jinan, and People’s Procuratorate of Shandong Province. There they helped handle cases and train personnel and were praised.

From April, 2012 to June, 2015, teacher Qin Junqi was sent to Sunwosha village in Heze city and served temporarily as its committee’s “First Secretary”. During his tenure, he helped formulate the village’s rules and regulations, advocated the Party’s new rural policies, and had done a lot of pragmatic and effective work to benefit the villagers.
