About the speaker:
Zhao Wanyi, Dean, Professor and Doctoral Mentor of Civil and Commercial Law School at Southwest University of Political Science & Law, Director of China Law Society, Vice President of Civil Law Institute, Executive Director of Arbitration Law Institute, Director of Commercial Law Institute, Adviser to Fujian Provincial People’s Government, Legal Consultant to Foshan Municipal People’s Government, Legislative Adviser to the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress, Member of Chongqing Federation of Youth, Consultant to the No. 1 Intermediate Court of Chongqing Municipality.
Prof. Zhao is mainly engaged in the teaching and research of basic theories of civil and commercial law, corporate law, securities law, and bankruptcy law.
He has published Theory and Practice of Securities Law, Research on Legal Issues Concerning Competition Protection in China, Research on Basic Issues Concerning Commercial Law, Ethnic Analysis on Civil Law, and other academic works.
He has also published nearly 80 papers in journals such as China Legal Science, Chinese Journal of Law, and Modern Law Science.
