Law School Holds Seminar on Development of First-Class Major

To develop the first-class major and prepare for the professional certification, on July 8, 2019, on Yanshan campus, our school convened the members of its teaching steering committee for a seminar on the teaching of law.

This is an active response to the university’s call for comprehensively improving professional development and the ability to cultivate talents.

The task of the seminar was to revise the program for the cultivation of legal talents, achieve the objectives for the teaching of courses, formulate the program for the development of first-class major, finalize the plan for professional certification, and summarize relevant issues.

The meeting was chaired by Shao Wentao, the school's Party Secretary. He stressed that it was important and necessary for the school to formulate an action plan for the development of first-class major. Dean Zhao Xinhui made arrangements for key tasks to be addressed including professional certification, disciplinary development, etc.

Vice dean Li Zhen interpreted the school’s action plan from three aspects: the goal and task for the education of first-class major, the path and key to achieving its development, and the initiatives to implement the system of supporting its development. Teachers in the meeting offered suggestions and advice.
