SDUFE Organizes Students to Learn Xi's Remarks on Education

On Sept 19, our university held a symposium on learning the spirit of major remarks made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Education Conference.

Comrades in charge of Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, together with student delegates from 32 schools and departments, attended the event.

At the symposium, the delegates, according to their own education background, learning experience and social practice, talked freely about what they think and feel when learning Xi's remarks.

They believed that Xi's high evaluation and ardent expectation for the vast majority of educators had encouraged them a lot; that his summary of the achievement and experiences obtained in education reform since the 18th CPC National Congress had cheered them a lot; that his plan of accelerating the modernization of education, deepening the reform of education institution and building China into an education power had made them feel the heavy responsibility.

They said that they would adhere to their ideals and beliefs, foster strong patriotism, cultivate morals and virtues, enrich knowledge and broaden horizon, nurture the spirit of struggle, enhance overall quality, achieve the all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education, and strive to become the builder and successor of socialism as soon as possible.

Those aspiring to be a teacher said that they would strictly follow the requirement of “Four Haves” and strive to become a teacher that satifies the country and its people.

The comrades in charge recognized the representatives for their earnest learning and profound interpreting of the spirit of Xi's remarks; encouraged them for their interest in, resolve to devote themselves to and confidence in education; hoped that they can motivate their fellow students to study, advocate and implement the spirit and to improve their professional skills and overall ability, so as to contribute, as a student at SDUFE, to the development of socialist education with Chinese characteristics.
